Elden Ring : In the fifth part of our Elden Ring walkthrough, we're going to guide you through Leyndell, Royal Capital. We shall reveal how to find your way through the vast and sprawling capital city, as well as defeat the bosses you encounter there. Once again we will outline the most straightforward route to completing your main objectives in this area. Since the city is so big compared to other areas in the game, feel free to explore and then return to this guide once you need a pointer in the right direction. Detailed below is how to complete Leyndell, Royal Capital. We've broken the guide down into easy to follow steps that will get you on your way to completing everything you need to do here. Elden Ring How to Leyndell, Royal Capital Walkthrough On this page, we're going to explain how to complete Stormveil Castle and reach the boss battles against Godfrey, First Elden Lord and Morgott, the Omen King. Make it Back Down to Ground Level As a reference point, this walkthrough begins at the entrance to Leyndell, Royal Capital from where you fight Draconic Tree Sentinel. With it out of the way, push onwards into the city. A Site of Grace will greet you towards the end of the bridge leading into the capital, so rest and level up after a tough fight. Take the stairs to your left upwards, and then take the elevator up. Follow the linear path ahead of you, through the church, and then up another stone staircase. Here you'll get your first glimpse of Leyndell, Royal Capital, with another Site of Grace in the room to your right. Follow the path around for a breathtaking shot of the city, and then look to your left to find the main path. Ahead of you will be a new enemy type some sort of creature with a musical instrument. While there might be lots of them, they're not particularly dangerous. Pick them off one by one and head into the ruined building ahead. At the end will be a stationary enemy spitting fire in front of it. It's easy to get by if you sprint on the left-hand side and then attack from behind. Head down to the level below you in the room full of greenery, taking extra caution around the single enemy in here. Then take another elevator down, drawing closer to ground level. Up ahead is another new enemy type they hit hard but equally take as much damage themselves. Follow the path around and you'll end up in a fancy looking corridor with some barrels blocking the entrance ahead of you, but an open one to your left. Whichever one you pick, you're in for a tough battle. Rolling through the barrels nets you a fight with a knight armed with a lightning charged spear. The path on the left has three of the new enemy types all bunched up together, and they're very hard to take on all at once. If you take the lefthand path, try and bait each enemy out into the corridor you start in one by one. You also need to avoid the flaming arrows from one of the enemies at all costs. They can kill you all in one go. No matter which way you choose, though, they'll both lead to the same area on the other side. You're in the right place if you notice a large carriage in the middle of the road and a golden knight sitting in front of it. Kill it and push forward to make it back down onto ground level and the main road in Leyndell, Royal Capital. Reach the West Capital Rampart Site of Grace A plethora of options are now open to you there are places to see and discover in almost every direction. However, if we're looking to make our way through Leyndell, Royal Capital as soon as possible, we need to make it to the Site of Grace named West Capital Rampart to set up a checkpoint for the events ahead. So, after making it onto the main path, you'll want to head west towards where the road slopes upwards with huge statues on either side. As you approach, an Erdtree Avatar will spawn. This isn't classed as a boss, but you will have to beat it to make life easier for yourself. With it taken care of, head for the stone steps where the enemies are below the two huge statues along the main road. With the enemies defeated, head through the gate and turn to your left. You'll notice some horse stables run past them and you'll spot a gigantic tree root sprouting out of the ground. This is what we're going to climb in order to find the Site of Grace. Get on it from the base of the root, but you don't want to go too far. You'll notice a slightly smaller root coming off the main one that veers to the left, and you need to take this one down to the building it leads into. There's a statue and a Golden Seed down there See Also Elden Ring All Golden Seed Locations. Run past the enemies and up into the building ahead, avoiding the two staircases going down. As soon as you enter, look to your right and there will be the Site of Grace we're looking for. Begin Climbing Again Now that we have this handy checkpoint, it's time to return to the huge tree root we were just climbing. Double back and work your way up the root, killing the enemies you encounter. Wherever you see an enemy on the tree, this is where you need to go. Once you reach the top and onto solid ground again, it's time for a boss fight. Kill Godfrey, First Elden Lord You must now take on Godfrey, First Elden Lord. Kill Morgott, the Omen King With Godfrey, First Elden Lord done and dusted, it's time to take on another mainline boss Morgott, the Omen King. This fight will be a lot harder. Rest at the Site of Grace that opens up and then leave via the open exit that looks out onto the Erdtree. The way forward will look like a dead-end, but jump onto the tree branch to your right and take it to the top of the room where you fought Godfrey, First Elden Lord. This opens up a new path for you to take, which is basically a linear route straight to the boss encounter with a Site of Grace in between. Rest up, summon Melina, and take on Morgott, the Omen King. Leave Reyndell, Royal Capital Now that Morgott, the Omen King is dead, we can leave Reyndell, Royal Capital and continue our journey. In order to do this, we won't be using the pathway behind the boss arena we've just been in. We'll actually be doubling back and heading east. For starters, fast travel back to the Site of Grace marked West Capital Rampart and get back onto the main road, where we fought Erdtree Avatar. You're now going to want to head in the opposite direction we took to reach the boss fights. So, instead of heading southwest as you look at the map, we now need to head northeast. Put your back to the two huge statues where the enemies on the staircase gather and head down the main road. You'll eventually come to a set of doors that can be opened. Go straight ahead and up the long staircase ahead of you, killing the enemies you meet. There'll be an elevator in the building up ahead, which you need to take upwards by using the lever in the centre. Ahead of you will be a path containing a knight on horseback. You can't call upon Torrent here, so just be careful. In the next building will be another elevator to ride, this time going down. Take it and you'll end up in the Mountaintops of the Giants, which is where our quest continues. Van Severen Dès le début du XXème siècle, le village a attiré des artistes, des galeristes parisiens et à partir de 1950, de nombreux artistes du mouvement surréaliste. En quête d’inspiration, les artistes ont trouvé ici une terre bénie pour laisser libre cours à leur imagination. Est-ce à cause de ces dégradés de bruns ? De l’harmonie des volumes ? De ce point de vue exceptionnel sur la vallée du Lot ? Toujours est-il que peintres, poètes et écrivains n’ont eu de cesse de venir ici tremper plumes et pinceaux. Les nombreuses galeries et ateliers qui ont pris possession de ses vieilles pierres en témoignent. On perçoit encore nettement cette dimension artistique en découvrant le parcours d’art contemporain, sans oublier la résidence internationale d’artistes installée dans la Maison Daura. Le poète et écrivain André Breton fut celui qui fit connaître Saint-Cirq-Lapopie. À propos de ce village où il s’installa à demeure, il déclara Andre Breton 1 J’ai cessé de me désirer ailleurs… On le comprend aisément ! Imaginez une chemin taillé à même la falaise sur environ 1 km de long. Creusé entre 1843 et 1847 pour faciliter le trafic des gabares sur le Lot, le chemin de halage de Ganil est aujourd’hui accessible à tous. Ne manquez pas le coup d’oeil sur le bas-relief qui s’étend sur 40m2, oeuvre du sculpteur Daniel Monnier. Un chemin à voir absolument ! Plus de 30 ans après l’avoir commencé, Daniel Mounier a poursuivi son oeuvre durant l’été 2019. Sa dernière création un écran-miroir qui est selon lui la touche finale et majestueuse qui donnera un éclat unique à ce bas-relief. Limgrave is the starting region in Elden Ring. With its lush forests and verdant fields, you might think that it’s an idyllic countryside. However, many dangers await you on your travels. Here’s our Elden Ring Limgrave walkthrough guide to help you with the initial portion of the campaign. Note For more information, check out our Elden Ring guides and features hub. Likewise, since you’re just starting out, you can take a look at our beginner’s guide. Since this is the Elden Ring Limgrave walkthrough guide, we’ll focus primarily on the objectives that you need to do to get to the next boss and progress the campaign. Still, I might talk about or link some optional stuff on the side. You may also read our dungeon and secrets guide for this region to see other points of interest. In any case, here’s the map with the landmarks that we’ll visit Church of Elleh You’ll want to go through the Cave of Knowledge, which serves as the game’s tutorial area. From there, exit the Stranded Graveyard to see the wide landscape before you. The Tree Sentinel which you can see in the featured image is patrolling the road. Avoid it and go to the Church of Elleh. You’ll meet Merchant Kale who sells some weapons, ammo, and crafting recipes. Gatefront Continue along the road until you reach the Gatefront Site of Grace. Here, an important character, Melina, will talk to you. She’ll teach you a means of leveling up, as well as your horse mount named Torrent. Note Now that you’ve acquired an item to summon Torrent, you should fast travel back to the Church of Elleh at night. A witch named Renna will give you the Spirit Calling Bell. This will let you summon specters of beasts to aid you in battles. You can level up a bit by beating down the soldiers near Gatefront. But, to progress further, you need to head through the sloping path past the gate. That’s when a Troll spawns. You can fight it or use Torrent to gallop away. In the next section, a bannerman soldier will call for reinforcements, too. Stormhill Shack Continue uphill until you see a small tree with a golden glow. These kinds of trees have a Golden Seed, an item that’s used to increase the charges of your HP/MP flasks. Then, just east of that location, you’ll see the Stormhill Shack Site of Grace. Inside, a woman in a red cloak, Roderika, seems to be down on her luck. You’ll receive the Sitting Sideways emote, as well as the Spirit Jellyfish Ashes. If you don’t get it this early, she’ll hand it to you much later. Note 1 Roderika becomes an integral NPC, as she’ll eventually let you upgrade your Spirit Ash summons. Note 2 If you look behind you to the east, you’ll see that the sloping path curves back to the Gatefront ramparts. There, you can defeat some mobs to get a ranged weapon, as well as the Arrow’s Reach Talisman. Castleward Tunnel Next up, there’s a winding path that’s full of soldiers. You can hide and stealthily make your way through the bushes, which is a good idea. Trying to take them head-on wouldn’t be smart, since a couple of them are using ballistae. Once you get past them, you’ll see the Castleward Tunnel bonfire, as well as a doorway with yellow energy. This is a boss arena where you’ll fight Margit the Fell Omen. The Lands Between offer a plethora of opportunities to delve into deep and dark places in search of loot and nasty new bosses opens in new tab to fight. These Elden Ring dungeons also provide an excellent chance to gather runes and gain levels, so strengthening you to face the main story's demi-gods and claim their Great Runes opens in new tab.Dungeons aren't particularly hard to find, since they are usually nestled into cliffs, and you can even activate the statues you'll find to point the way to nearby catacombs. But some of them are definitely easy to miss if you aren't looking from just the right angle, and yet some of the game's most important materials are found in dungeons early on, such as the glovewort you use to upgrade ashes in Spirit Tuning opens in new tab, or the Smithing Stones required to make your weapon this Elden Ring dungeons list I'll run through all of the dungeons in the starting area of Limgrave and how to complete them, as well as what rewards they give you. I'll also go through the different types of dungeons you can find in the world of Elden Ring dungeon typesThere are lots of different styles of dungeon in Elden Ring—as there should be in a dark fantasy game. Here are each of the types that generally describe what you'll find in the Lands BetweenCaves If you're looking for flora or fauna, these are your best bet, and most of Elden Ring's poison dungeons are located in caves. The first one you're likely to come across is the Groveside Cave with the Beastman of Farum These dungeons are a great location for finding Smithing Stones, and are generally filled with old miners. Limgrave Tunnel is the closest to the start and is a good place to grab weapon upgrade materials straight These dungeons are usually a little more complex than the others, but also usually reward you with Spirit Ashes and the glovewort you need to upgrade them. The usual layout for these is navigating your way through Imps or Skeletons to find a lever that opens the boss door. The first you'll likely find are the Stormfoot Graves The hardest dungeons in Elden Ring. There are only a few of these located in various regions, and they are tough due to the chariot puzzles that require you to run from alcove to alcove so you don't get mowed down. They do offer some great rewards, though. The first of these is the Fringefolk Hero's Grave dungeon in the Stranded Graveyard where you start, but you'll need a Stonesword Key opens in new tab to unlock Ring dungeons All the Limgrave dungeons we've found so farDungeons contain useful materials—catacomb dungeons, for instance, give you Glovewort, a flower that is used to improve the strength of your summons with the Elden Ring Spirit Calling Bell opens in new tab once you unlock Spirit Tuning opens in new tab. Aside from that, they can also provide you with unique weapons and talismans. Most dungeons are pitch-black, so you'll want to buy yourself a torch from the merchant in the Church of Elleh before you set off to explore one. You can also get a hands-free lantern from the merchant in the Lakes of Liurnia or in the south of the Weeping Peninsula area. One final thing to note you can turn off flame turrets by hitting Hero's Grave location. This is one of the toughest dungeons in Cave location. Image credit From SoftwareGroveside Cave Rewards Flamedrake TalismanThis is found north of the Church of Elleh past the turtle pond, with soldiers scattered around its entrance. Fight through the wolves, while staying wary of those sleeping around the cave, and you'll soon reach the boss. The Beastman of Farum Azula is very easy, and you can stun-lock him with attacks, so just dodge/block and deal damage when you can. Limgrave Tunnels location. Image credit From SoftwareLimgrave Tunnels Rewards Roar Medallion, Smithing StonesThis dungeon is at the northernmost tip of the lake to the right of the Stranded Graveyard. Head down the lift and enter into a chamber with miners. The ones digging aren't hostile unless attacked, but the ones standing around will throw rocks or try to hit you. Head down the platform, then through the tunnel to another lift. When the lift is halfway down, jump off onto the platform you can see. Enter the next chamber and head left. Be wary of the lantern bearers who can spew fire and make the other miners aggressive towards you. At the bottom of the lift, go straight ahead to find the Stonedigger Troll boss. He's quite easy, just stick around his legs as with any troll, and be wary of his downward smash attacks. He drops the Roar Medallion that enhances breath and roar attacks. This dungeon is also a great way of getting Smithing Stones early Catacombs location. Image credit From SoftwareRewards Noble Sorcerer's AshesThis one's pretty easy as long as you watch out for the usual imps pretending to be statues, or hanging from the walls. Head through until you get to the flame turret, then run to the right to be faced with another flame turret. Then do the same again. It's worth noting that behind that first turret is an item that lets you say "Hello!". After the second flame turret, climb the ladder to a balcony with two imps, and the Wandering Noble Ashes nearby. Drop down to the platform, then drop down again to find a level and open the door to the boss. The Erdtree Burial Watchdog is pure nightmare fuel, but easy to beat. Deathtouched Catacombs location. Image credit FromSoftwareDeathtouched CatacombsRewards Assassin's Crimson Dagger talisman, Uchigatana, and DeathrootYou can find this dungeon set into the cliff to the east of the Warmaster's Shack on Stormhill. It's a pretty simple run with no real traps, you just have to aware of the bones scattered around that transform into skeletons when you walk by. The skeletons themselves aren't tough, especially if you bring a weapon with holy damage. Head through until you find the lever, pull it, and head back to the boss door at the start. Like his undead pals, the Black Knife Assassin boss is suceptible to holy damage, and will struggle to deal with any mobs you summon against Cave location. Image credit From SoftwareCoastal Cave Rewards Tailoring ToolsYou can find this dungeon located in a cave entrance on the beach directly facing the island in the southwest. The first room is filled with goblin-like creatures, who will scream at you before attacking, giving you a chance to strike first. Kill them off then head into the boss. The Demi-Human Chiefs are two aggressive beast-like creatures that run on all fours but can be easily cheesed with the Wild Strikes skill and by fighting them separately. If you're struggling, summon Old Knight Istvan to help. This dungeon is important since it gives you access to the island south of Cave location. Image credit From SoftwareMurkwater Cave Rewards Cloth Garb and Cloth TrousersHead to the north side of Lake where you fight Agheel and go under the bridge where the skeletons are. Further up, on the left side you'll see a cave, though you'll be invaded by Bloody Finger Nerijus, so watch out. Once Yura has appeared to help you deal with him, head into the cave. This dungeon is very easy. Either be sneaky and watch out for tripwires or just kill all of the bandits in there. Head down the left corridor to the boss door. The boss of this dungeon is good ol' Patches opens in new tab. Open the chest and he'll try to rob you. However, if you get his health down to half, he'll surrender and you can talk to him. Murkwater Catacombs location. Image credit From SoftwareMurkwater Catacombs Rewards Battle HammerHead north up the river from Murkwater Cave and turn left into a cavern filled with bodies, and gravestones sticking out of the walls. Go to the end and you'll find a set of double doors that let you into the catacombs. When you head down from the site of grace, watch on the left for an Imp pretending to be a statue, as well as one hiding on the roof. Straight ahead of you will be a trap tile, and two imps throwing knives. You can use the trap to kill them, or go in close—just be aware of the imp hiding around the left corner. Pull the lever. Head back and turn left, looking out for another trap two imps pretending to be statues on either side of the door, and one to the left around the corner. Head through to fight the Grave Warden Duelist. This hammer-hefting warrior isn't too hard to beat if you stay close to him, though watch out for his grab attack in the second phase. Highroad Cave location. Image credit From SoftwareHighroad Cave Rewards Blue Dancer Charm From the Murkwater Catacombs, head north along the river filled with the giant tentacle creatures. You'll have to use the spirit spring to jump out to access it. At the very end, where the river meets the sea, you'll find a cave entrance on the left. Head in and drop down the hole using the platforms. You'll enter into a room with another hole and wolves. Kill the wolves and drop down this next hole using the platforms. There isn't a platform for the last jump, but you can roll onto the lip of the hole before dropping down. Now there are two tunnels. Head right into the fire-lit room with two more wolves. Head left through the barrels to find a point where you can drop down on a white wolf in the next room, but watch out for the wolf behind you. Head through the cave arch into the next room for a view of a cave cistern. Descend the platforms watching out for bats, especially from the cave by the waterfall on the left of the path. Next, drop off the waterfall, jump to the broken pillar and fight the bats to find the Shamshir weapon. In the next room, you'll find one of the giant tentacle creatures. They are tanky, but throwing Kukri from range absolutely destroys them, so they appear to be weak to bleed damage. Head through the tunnel on the right until you're back in the main chamber, then drop to the left down by the waterfall and carry on through the passage to find the boss. The Guardian Golem is the same as the ones you find on the bridge towards the divine tower of Limgrave. Like Tower Knight from Demon Souls, you can hit his ankles to make him fall over, but watch out for his stomps, and the attack where he leans down to breathe fire.
